Accountants and bookkeepers are needed to assist with a wide range of financial and bookkeeping duties. To assist the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Assistant is expected to maintain financial records up-to-date and to prepare reports. Accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expenditure vouchers, and receipts will all be processed using accounting software. It is essential that the person working as an accounting assistant has a strong background and aptitude for math. As a result, a good Accounting Assistant will guarantee that the company’s everyday accounting duties are carried out properly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Examine new vendor papers and enter into property management software.
- Calculations, preparation, and issuance of bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial documents should follow established procedures.
- Take calls from Members about their accounts, respond to them, and make any required modifications or payments.
- Find out about, track down, and fix any accounting or paperwork issues. Inform management, create summaries of relevant action areas, and prepare reports. Work within the bounds of accepted guidelines, rules, and legal requirements.
- Do standard accounting chores and provide assistance with more complex ones like payroll, invoices, and accounts receivable.
- Record distribution receipts in accounting software and distribute receipts to every internal entity. You’re in charge of handling all of the usual wire transfers for your assigned portfolio.
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data in diaries, ledgers, or computers to establish and preserve financial records.
- Assist the accounting department with clerical and accounting duties. Prepare, handle, and type legibly accounting papers and records. Make general ledger entries, bank deposits, and statements.
- Assist with vendor identification (ID) coding as required and deliver mail daily. With the aid of other Finance professionals, forward miscellaneous invoices to the relevant supervisors for approval.
- These accounts are kept in databases and spreadsheets using specialized accounting software.
Skills:
- Proficient with MS Excel, including formula usage and modification.
- Accounting and financial expertise, with a focus on bookkeeping operations, is preferred.

- A demonstrated aptitude for doing mathematical calculations correctly is necessary, as is excellent financial record-keeping.
